REVIEW: Garnier Mircale Skin Perfector (BB Cream)

After looking for a new foundation for this summer and for when I go abroad, I stumbled across this tube of glory. For a reasonable £7.49 (from Superdrug). I was looking for something thinner than a foundation, but something that gave more coverage than a tinted moisturiser. So after trying a free sample of the Miracle Skin Perfector, I decided to give it a try.

I have quite oily skin, but at the same time it can feel quite dry at times. This BB cream does a great job at moisturising my skin, and keeping it that way throughout the day. My skin also has quite a few freckles on it (Which I like to hide majority of the time) and this also does a good job at hiding them, without me looking like I've caked make-up on. Also this does a great job of evening out my skin tone, which is another thing I really like.

This BB cream is also very scented, This may put some people off but personally I LOVE the smell. It hasn't given me a bad reaction to it (touch wood!) and I've had a very good experience with this BB cream.

This BB cream has an OK staying power, I like to put powder over the top to give it a matte look and also help it stay on for longer during the day.

Personally I really like this product, It does a great job of evening my skin tone and hiding my freckles. It doesn't do the best job on any spots/red marks so concealer is still needed for that. But it's a nice light coverage which doesn't feel heavy (Which is great for the hot weather).

Have I missed anything out? Do you want to know something else about it? Comment below.

REVIEW: Collection 2000 Skyscraper Mascara

I've never really heard anyone speak about Collection 2000's Skyscraper mascara before, So when I saw it in my local Pound Land, I decided to pick it up and give it a try. In Boots this mascara retails for a respectable £4.99 and you can buy it here

Mine's in the shade 'Ultra black' and yes, it's very black. Which I really like about mascaras. You can also get this mascara in a waterproof version.

This mascara does a great job and lengthening and separating my lashes without any clumps, much better than my Rimmel London Scandal Eyes. It gives a great everyday natural look, which is great for school or work. Maybe it's not the best for a night-time look when you're looking for more volumized lashes.

Two coats.

The applicator is unique, it has one side with longer bristles, great for your top lashes, then the other side has shorter ones, which are great for your bottom lashes. This means every lash can get a good coating of the mascara (woo!).

Overall, I really like this mascara. It isn't clumpy, it does a great job and lengthening and it's currently in some Pound Lands, if not then for £5 it hardly breaks the bank to try it.

What do you think? Have you tried this mascara before?

REVIEW: Nivea Moisturiser Cream

A few months back my skin went through a dry stage. It seemed whatever product I used to help moisturise, it didn't work. Then I saw this little pot of wonderfulness in Boots. I can't seem to find this exact product on the site but here is the same product (Just a bigger pot!) and it retails for £3.39.

This is a great everyday moisturiser. It's not too strong (Which is great for sensitive skin), also after one application you can feel how moisturised your skin feels. Also you don't have to just use it on your face. As it's unscented you can use it on your elbows, knees and even as a hand cream.

It's small and compact so it's easy to throw in your bag.

As you can see I'm getting through mine slowly. A little goes a long way with this so you'll be using it for a while before you require a repurchase!

The one downside too this product is that the cream is a little thick. I've found it can take a while to sink in (Which is why I only apply it just before bed, not in the mornings) but like I've said, it moisturises amazingly.

Overall I give this a 9/10. I highly recommend you try this before you spend all of your money on a high-end moisturiser.

REVIEW: MUA Heaven & Earth Pallet

Hey lovelies! Today I'm doing a review of a highly hyped product; the MUA heaven & earth pallet! This pallet retails for a great £4 and you can buy it from larger Superdrug stores and also the official MUA online store here.

The packaging is basic MUA style, sleek & simple but it also looks a little cheap. But you can't really complain as it's only £4.

The pallet consists of mainly shimmery colours but it does have a few mattes too. All of the eye-shadows are the same great quality which all of the single MUA eye-shadow's are. (See my review here!) They're soft, creamy and highly pigmented. Also they're fantastic for blending to great a neutral look.

Here are three of my favourite colours from the pallet. Also this swatch is taken from just ONE swipe of the colour! Amazing.

So that's my review. I highly recommend you all go and get this! It's also been dubbed as being a dupe for the Naked pallet.

REVIEW: Benefit's Bad Gal Lash Mascara

Hey lovelies! Today I'm doing a review on Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara. I received this mascara as a sample in Glamour magazine's July Issue. It's only a sample but it's great for travelling and you get enough product to really test it out. You can buy the full version of this mascara for £16.50 on Benefit's website here.
Even though this is only a sample size, you're still getting 4.0G of product - which is almost half of what the full size contains!
My favourite thing about this mascara is it's brush! It's massive! It's great for getting all of your lashes in one coat of the mascara and really lengthens them. I personally love this brush, but I know it's not to everyone's taste. It picks up a great amount of product which allows for great application.
Before..
After

The picture above is with around 2/3 coats of the mascara. As you can see it does a good job of lengthening my lashes without leaving any clumps. Naturally, I have quite small lashes and this mascara does a great job of making them stand out a little more. If you wanted to, you can build up the mascara creating a great night-time look. Or you can wear a few coats for everyday wear.

Overall it's a good mascara but I don't think it's worth the £16.50 price-tag when there are drug store mascaras for half the price and do the same (if not better!) job!

REVIEW; MUA Lipstick in shade #5

Aloha lovelies! Today I'm going to be reviewing MUA's lipstick in shade #5. If you don't know who MUA are then you've been living under a rock. They're a makeup company where all of their products retail for under £8. They have two lines, Their standard one (Where everything is £1) then a professional one where things are a little more expensive but nothing that will break the bank.

Today I'm reviewing one of their standard lipsticks in shade #5 which retails for £1!

What MUA Says;

"Girls, there is nothing better than lipstick. Apart from maybe lipstick that costs just £1! Ok definitely lipstick that costs just £1. Don't say we're not good to you. Our amazing lipsticks come in 16 shades from red to pink and nude and are packed full of pigmentation."

The Packaging;

Like all of MUA's standard line packaging, it's black and simple. It looks very sleek and professional and looks like it cost more than £1! I love how at the end of each lipstick you can see the colour of the lipstick. So in your storage you can easily pick out which colour you want!

The colour;

Shade 5 is a shimmery baby pink. In the stick it looks quite bright but when applied to your lips it gives a nice sheer pink.

Formula;

This lipstick has a nice lip-gloss feel to it. It's very moisturising and doesn't give a matte finish or dry your lips out! It's great for everyday use.

Pros and Cons;

Pros;
- Cheap + Affordable!
- Great everyday colour
- Will suite every skin tone
- Moisturising
- Has a nice finish!

Cons;
- The shimmer could put some people off buying it
- Breaks easily

Overall I really like this lipstick and its my favourite one I own from this range. For the price you can't go wrong and if you haven't tried it before you're missing out!

You can buy this lipstick here from the official MUA website for £1.

REVIEW; Soap & Glory's Hand Food

 Before purchasing Soap & Glory's Hand Food I hadn't really paid much attention to my hands or bought any hand cream. When there was a offer on the large bottle of Hand Food I decided to pick up a bottle. I'm so glad I did! My love for this product keeps growing as its just so good!

This hand cream is very moisturising, leaving your hands feeling soft all day as thankfully this isn't one of those creams which you have to keep applying 10 times throughout the day! Plus, it doesn't leave a greasy feel after applying it and it doesn't even take that long to sink in.

Have you tried Soap & Glory's Hand Food? What do you think of it?

You can purchase the large bottle of Hand Food from Boots here for £5.00.

REVIEW; MUA Blush in shade #1

Hello beautiful people! I'm back with another review of a MUA product which I've been loving for a while now! I really like at MUA's products and as they're so inexpensive but such good quality it doesn't hurt to try them out. Each of the single MUA blushes are £1 each, and they're amazing quality! Anyway on with the review.

What MUA says;

"Part of out amazing £1 line, our blushers come in six shades. They range from a pink and coral to deeper plums and natural nudes so you'll definitely find one that suits you the most!" Read the rest here.

The packaging;

All MUA blushers come in MUA's staple packaging. Black base with a clear lid - which is great for seeing what colour the product is inside. It looks professional and sleek and looks like it costs more than £1.

The colour;

This shade is a nice everyday pink without being to bright or too neutral. It has a few specs of glitter in but you can't really see it once its applied to your cheeks.

Formula;

Just like MUA's eyeshadows, these blushers are very pigmented for the price. One swipe with my brush is enough to fill my cheeks whilst adding a hint of colour. Also they blend quite well which I recommend you doing if you're paler skinned. This can be a little chalky sometimes but nothing bad.

Pros and cons;

Pros;
- Cheap!
- Great everyday colour
- Very pigmented
- Blends well

Cons;
- The glitter may put some people off buying it.

Final opinion;

Overall I really like this blusher. I find myself going back to it everyday. It's now a staple part to my daily makeup and I don't see why I'd stop using it soon. The colours great, gives a great hint of colour too the cheeks and plus its very affordable! If you've never tried a MUA blush then you're missing out, go and try one soon! Its only £1 at the end of the day.

Have you tried any MUA blushes?

REVIEW; MUA Single Eyeshadow in Shade #1 Pearl.

Hello lovelies! Today I've got a review for you of a popular MUA product. If you don't know who MUA are then you're missing out! They're a makeup brand that sell their products in Superdrug and online. They're known for having great quality products all costing less than £9. Bargin! Today I'm reviewing one of their single pot eyeshadows in shade #1 - Pearl. At just £1 per eyeshadow you can't complain.

What MUA Says;

"Single eyeshadows that are super high pigmented, smooth and easy to apply and are the must-have item from MUA. They're the barga-licious price of just £1 each and they come in 34 amazing shades from brights to natural colours" (Read the rest here).

The Packaging;

All MUA eyeshadows come in the simple, yet nice, black and clear packaging. The top is clear so you can easily see what colour you're picking out of your makeup bag. I've found these little containers to be quite sturdy just for £1.

Colour;

The colour of this eyeshadow is a soft creamy colour with added shimmer. This is a great colour for highlighting with! I wouldn't recommend to put it all over the lid just because its so shimmery but I've had no problem with it ending up down my cheeks.

Just one swipe!

Formula;

This is a very soft and  very pigmented eyeshadow! The picture above it just one swipe in the pot. I've found all of the MUA shadows to be more pigmented than some more expensive eyeshadows.

Finishes;

MUA single eyeshadows come in two variations of the finish. You can either get a matte eyeshadow (where its matt..) or a pearl one like this where it has added shimmer. I've found that the pearl ones are a lot more pigmented!

Pros and cons;

Pros;
- Super pigmented and stays on all day (no primer) !!!
- A great highlight colour.
- Great soft formula.

Cons;
- A little too shimmery for everyday.

Final opinion;

I love this eyeshadow. I own other MUA single eyeshadows and they all have the great pigmentation and vibrant colour. For £1 it doesn't hurt to try them out to see if you like them. Personally I love them and I can't wait to build up my collection of these little gems!

What do you think of the MUA eyeshadows?

REVIEW: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

After my previous mascara (Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes) ran out, I was on the hunt for a new mascara which I'd never tried before. I had heard some positive things about Maybelline's 'Great lash' mascara. So I decided to give it a whirl. I'm starting to regret spending my £5 on this and I wish I'd brought a different mascara.

You can buy this mascara from boots here for £4.99.

What Maybelline says;

"Conditions as it thickens. No clubs, no globs"

The packaging;

The packaging is nothing special in my opinion. Its not very eye catching so it wouldn't catch your eye whilst looking for a mascara. I do like how its compact and doesn't take up a lot of space in your makeup bag, So its easy to travel with.

The wand;

As you can tell from the image above, this mascara doesn't have a big wand. If you're looking for a mascara that gives you a dramatic, long - full lashes this isn't the one for you. The wand doesn't cover every lash in one stroke so I often find myself going over my lashes with the wand a lot so everyone gets covered.

The finish;

This mascara gives a everyday, not too dramatic look. Its a very natural looking mascara so if you're looking for something like this I highly recommend it. It does a very good job of separating your lashes making them look a little longer, but not fuller. You can see the finish below;

(L-R) The wand close up, After the mascara's been applied.

Pros and cons;

Pros;
- Gives a nice, everyday, natural look.
- The packaging is a nice and compact.

Cons;
- The wand is very small.
- Costs too much for what it actually does.

Final opinion;

I highly recommend this mascara to someone who is new to makeup and is looking for their first/second mascara to use. Its great for things like school/work as it doesn't look too over the top, but widens your eyes and nicely separates your lashes, giving them a nice black look.  Call me tight with my money but I feel that this mascara's price tag is too high for what it actually does. I think it should be lowed in price to around £3.99. There are many cheaper mascaras on the market what does the same/better job!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review!

On my latest shopping trip to Lush I decided to buy a item from their 'Lip Scrub' range. Lush currently offer three different flavours of the lipscrub. Sweet Lips, Mint Julips and Bubblegum. Each of them having a different taste and vary in colour. Today I will be reviewing their 'Bubblegum' scrub.

You can buy this product from Lush's website here for £4.95.

What Lush says;

"Clears dead skin and flakiness from lips, leaving them moisturised and smooth. Keeps lips in tip top condition, for kissing, pouting, talking or anything else you wish to do with them!"

How to use;

"Scrub and buff your lips to softness, lick off the excess then apply your favourite Lush lip balm".

My opinion on the product;

The Lush Bubble Gum Lip scrub smells and tastes absolutely amazing. Its a girly hot pink colour in the tub but once applied to your lips the colour doesn't show. It has a gritty consistency (the sugar) which is used to buff into your lips to remove all dead skin and to exfoliate your lips. The product doesn't leave a sticky feel on your lips after application, but leaves them smooth and soft! Perfect for applying any lip product on afterwards. You don't want to use this everyday, as its a exfoliator it will damage your lips if you overuse it. I use it every two days.

Pros & Cons;

Pros;
- Smells and tastes great!
- Does a great job at exfoliating.
- Nice little pot so it doesn't take up to much space in your storage.

Cons;
- Its a glass jar so if you were to drop it, it would probably break.

Final Conclusion;
It does everything you'd expect from a lip scub, plus the added bonus of it being completely edible! Also Lush is against animal testing so you don't have to worry about that! I highly recommend you get this, even though the price tag is a little to high for my liking for how much you get. (£4.95).

I give this product a 9/10!

Do you own a lip scrub from Lush's range? If not will you every try one?

Issy xoxo
