I'm back! Sorry!

Hello lovelies!

Wow I haven't said that for awhile! I'd like to start this post of by apologising for not updating the blog for a few weeks. There aren't any 'serious' reasons for my absence, just that I've just being spending my free time with friends and family.

But don't worry (If you were...) I will be doing a bunch of posts in the upcoming days to make up for it!

Top Four Summer Lipsticks!

It may not look like it outside, but deep down we all know it's summer. Even though it's still cold and it rains pretty much everyday; we can't let that stop us wearing our favourite summer lipsticks! Today I will be showing you my four favourite lipsticks which I will be wearing throughout summer 2012.

(L-R)
17, Natural Collection, MAC, Bourjois Paris.

Buy 17's mirror shine on lipstick in 'Beehive' here from Boots for  £4.58

This 17 Mirror Shine on lipstick in the shade 'Beehive' is perfect for everyday use. It adds a hint of colour to your lips whilst moisturising them. It's very glossy and it feels great on the lips!

You can buy Natural Collection products from Boots stores.

This next lipstick I absolutely LOVE. It's a great pinky/coral colour and it's also very moisturising which is great as it doesn't dry your lips out. The one downside to this is the staying power isn't very good but the rest is great!

MAC's lipsticks retail for £13.50 from many different stores.
(Swatch is 3rd from the left)

I had to include one high end lipstick in here (I couldn't resist!) I love my MAC lipstick's but this one in Angel is my favourite. It's a great everyday, pink colour which stays for a long time (woo!) and also smells great and doesn't dry your lips out.

You can buy Bourjois products from Boots stores and they retail from between £5-£9.

My final summer favourite is Bourjois Paris's lipstick. I've had this for years now and I'm sure they still sell them (if not similar ones) and they're great. The colour and pigmentation of them is great and also they're moisturising. I love mine, it has nice shimmery undertones which are great for summer.

What are your favourite summer lipsticks?

Johnson's Baby Shampoo

Hello lovelies! Today I'm doing a quick tutorial on how to clean your make-up brushes with just baby shampoo!

Buy Johnson's Baby Shampoo from Boots here for £3.35

Buy the ELF studio stipple brush here  from ELF for £3.75

As you can see, my ELF stipple brush has seen better days! After being used everyday for my foundation, I decided to give it a bit of TLC and wash it. Don't get me wrong, I already wash all my brushes once a month (Daily brushes once a fortnight) but I thought this one needed an extra wash to prevent shredding and keep it in great condition.

Baby shampoo is great for brush cleaning; it doesn't cost much and also it's gentle so it won't cause your brush to shred or make the colour out of the brush run.

1) Run warm water into sink/bowl
2) Soak brush in the water for 1-2 minutes
3) Put some of your baby shampoo onto the brush and massage it into the bristles
4) Was the brush in the water, then look at the mess you've made!

When you're washing your brushes, make sure you DON'T get the metal casing around the top of your brush wet. If you do, the water will cause the glue to break down inside your brush and make the bristles fall out. Also, when you're leaving your brushes to try; keep them in an upright position so the water can't drain back inside the brush to the glue.

See how clean my brush is now? It's like new!

Have you every tried using baby shampoo for a brush cleaner?

HAUL; Bank, Toms, H&M and Superdrug!

Aloha beautiful people! Sorry I haven't blogged much this week, I've just not found the time! But today I went shopping to the Trafford Centre. I didn't get that much but I did get some really nice items ^-^ Anyway lets begin.

My nearest shopping centre doesn't have a Bank shop inside, so when I go to the Trafford Centre I love to go and have a little look around at what's in there! I've been looking for a jacket like this for a while. Topshop sell them but for some reason I've never bought one! I saw this gorgeous coral coloured one and I knew I had to have it. It feels great quality and it's sooooo soft!

My local shopping centre doesn't have a H&M either, so I love to have a quick nosey from time to time. I've been looking for some summery shorts (which aren't denim) for some time and Primark have some nice ones but they never fit! I love these pair of shorts which I came across today. At just £15, they're perfect! They are a really light weight material which is perfect for when I'm on holiday so I don't get too hot!

To go with my new "summery" shorts, I picked up some Toms! I've been debating getting either Toms or Vans. But I decided to go with Toms as Vans made my feet look bigger than they already are! I got the classic navy blue colour and they are soooo comfy! I love them. I brought these from Schuh for £35.

As with every shopping trip I can't help myself but go in either Superdrug or Boots! Today I went to Superdrug to stock up on two essential items.

One thing I brought is a staple item in my makeup routine and that is foundation. The one I'm currently using is actually a shade too dark for me so I always end up walking around like an orange! So I got a new foundation and I'm trying one I've never tried or looked into purchasing. I thought I'd give it a go! It's Rimmel London's Match Perfection foundation in the shade #100 Ivory. I hope that this is the right shade! I tested it on my hand and it looks OK, but I hope it's the same on my face! This was £6.99.

My local Superdrug doesn't have a big MUA stand like in the Trafford Centre. It doesn't stock pallets but when I saw the 'Heaven and Earth' one (which is highly raved about) I knew I had to get it! At just £4, you're getting over 10 highly pigmented eyeshadows! I love it.

And the final thing I brought was my second essential which is my pressed powder. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder! It's great. Mine is in the shade #003 Peach Glow. This was £3.99 and it's a bargin!

Ok so that's the end of my haul! Thankyou for reading :)

May Favourites 2012

It's that time of the month again! The time where the blogging/youtube community is filled with many "Favourites" videos. I'm going to add my little post to the many there already are. These are the products I have been loving this month.

So to start off my May favourites; Here are my two favourite nail polishes! I brought both of these quite recently. The ELF nail polish (Left) is in the shade 'Mint Cream' and you can see it in my haul here. The Barry M nail polish (Right) is in the shade '309 Berry I/C'. You can see the haul here! I love both of these colours and pastel nails are in this season and these two colours go great together.

Next is my everyday blusher; MUA's blush in shade #1. You can see my review of it here! I love this and use it everyday for school and at weekends. As you can see I might need to buy another one soon! The colour is great, It's very pigmented and lasts on my face all day without the need for a primer.

My two favourite eyeshadows this month have been Natural Collection's 'Willow' and 'Milk Chocolate'. These two colours go great together with Willow all over the lid, then Milk Chocolate in the crease and outer V. It creates a great, natural, everyday smoky eye! These are both extremely pigmented and last a while on the lid.

My final favourite for this month is ELF's Eyelid primer. You can see the haul post of it here! This costs just £1.50 and it's great! It blends in really well and stops my eyeshadows from creasing and coming off throughout the day! Also the doe-foot applicator is amazing.

So they're my favourites for this month! What are yours?
