REVIEW: Collection 2000 Skyscraper Mascara

I've never really heard anyone speak about Collection 2000's Skyscraper mascara before, So when I saw it in my local Pound Land, I decided to pick it up and give it a try. In Boots this mascara retails for a respectable £4.99 and you can buy it here

Mine's in the shade 'Ultra black' and yes, it's very black. Which I really like about mascaras. You can also get this mascara in a waterproof version.

This mascara does a great job and lengthening and separating my lashes without any clumps, much better than my Rimmel London Scandal Eyes. It gives a great everyday natural look, which is great for school or work. Maybe it's not the best for a night-time look when you're looking for more volumized lashes.

Two coats.

The applicator is unique, it has one side with longer bristles, great for your top lashes, then the other side has shorter ones, which are great for your bottom lashes. This means every lash can get a good coating of the mascara (woo!).

Overall, I really like this mascara. It isn't clumpy, it does a great job and lengthening and it's currently in some Pound Lands, if not then for £5 it hardly breaks the bank to try it.

What do you think? Have you tried this mascara before?

REVIEW: Benefit's Bad Gal Lash Mascara

Hey lovelies! Today I'm doing a review on Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara. I received this mascara as a sample in Glamour magazine's July Issue. It's only a sample but it's great for travelling and you get enough product to really test it out. You can buy the full version of this mascara for £16.50 on Benefit's website here.
Even though this is only a sample size, you're still getting 4.0G of product - which is almost half of what the full size contains!
My favourite thing about this mascara is it's brush! It's massive! It's great for getting all of your lashes in one coat of the mascara and really lengthens them. I personally love this brush, but I know it's not to everyone's taste. It picks up a great amount of product which allows for great application.
Before..
After

The picture above is with around 2/3 coats of the mascara. As you can see it does a good job of lengthening my lashes without leaving any clumps. Naturally, I have quite small lashes and this mascara does a great job of making them stand out a little more. If you wanted to, you can build up the mascara creating a great night-time look. Or you can wear a few coats for everyday wear.

Overall it's a good mascara but I don't think it's worth the £16.50 price-tag when there are drug store mascaras for half the price and do the same (if not better!) job!

REVIEW: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

After my previous mascara (Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes) ran out, I was on the hunt for a new mascara which I'd never tried before. I had heard some positive things about Maybelline's 'Great lash' mascara. So I decided to give it a whirl. I'm starting to regret spending my £5 on this and I wish I'd brought a different mascara.

You can buy this mascara from boots here for £4.99.

What Maybelline says;

"Conditions as it thickens. No clubs, no globs"

The packaging;

The packaging is nothing special in my opinion. Its not very eye catching so it wouldn't catch your eye whilst looking for a mascara. I do like how its compact and doesn't take up a lot of space in your makeup bag, So its easy to travel with.

The wand;

As you can tell from the image above, this mascara doesn't have a big wand. If you're looking for a mascara that gives you a dramatic, long - full lashes this isn't the one for you. The wand doesn't cover every lash in one stroke so I often find myself going over my lashes with the wand a lot so everyone gets covered.

The finish;

This mascara gives a everyday, not too dramatic look. Its a very natural looking mascara so if you're looking for something like this I highly recommend it. It does a very good job of separating your lashes making them look a little longer, but not fuller. You can see the finish below;

Pros and cons;

Pros;
- Gives a nice, everyday, natural look.
- The packaging is a nice and compact.

Cons;
- The wand is very small.
- Costs too much for what it actually does.

Final opinion;

I highly recommend this mascara to someone who is new to makeup and is looking for their first/second mascara to use. Its great for things like school/work as it doesn't look too over the top, but widens your eyes and nicely separates your lashes, giving them a nice black look.  Call me tight with my money but I feel that this mascara's price tag is too high for what it actually does. I think it should be lowed in price to around £3.99. There are many cheaper mascaras on the market what does the same/better job!
